Admission Requirements
Relevant Bachelor's Degree
A 3-year Bachelor's degree from a recognized Indian university is essential. Your degree must be in a related field, with a minimum score of 55-65%. The university will perform a detailed 'curriculum evaluation' to check if your credits match their prerequisites.
Language Proficiency

Visa Process
Secure University Admission
Receive your official 'Letter of Acceptance' (LoA) from an Italian university. This is the foundational document for your visa application. Pre-enrollment through the Universitaly portal is mandatory.
Complete Universitaly Pre-enrollment
Your university will guide you to pre-enroll on the Universitaly portal. Once validated by the university and the Italian embassy, you will receive a summary to include with your visa application.
Gather Documentation
Compile all documents: valid passport, LoA, Universitaly summary, proof of accommodation (hotel booking or lease), proof of financial means (€6,079.45/year), DoV/CIMEA, and flight itinerary.
Book Visa Appointment
Book an appointment at the Italian Consulate (VFS Global in major Indian cities) well in advance—slots fill up 3-4 months before the intake. Apply for the 'D' category National Visa for study purposes.
Submit Application and Biometrics
Attend your appointment in person. Submit your application form, all documents, passport photos, and biometric data. Pay the visa fee (€50). An interview may be conducted.
Apply for Permit of Stay (Permesso di Soggiorno)
Within 8 days of arriving in Italy, you must apply for your residence permit at a designated Post Office. You'll receive a 'kit' and an appointment for fingerprinting at the local Questura (Police HQ).
